HONORS

Honors in the College of Business offers multiple opportunities for academic distinction, affiliation with distinguished faculty, exciting co-curricular activities, and membership in scholastic and professional networks.

The College of Business James Scholar Program.   The James Scholar Program encourages high achieving undergraduates to expand scholastic opportunities beyond the minimum requirements.  Named for one of the University of Illinois’s distinguished presidents, Edmund P. James, this program recognizes students of extraordinary ability and achievement.

The College of Business Honors Program is a leadership program for approximately forty incoming freshmen who will participate in  special seminars;  intensive dialogue with College of Business faculty and business leaders; and international travel.  Students are selected for the Business Honors Program after extensive review of the admissions application and an interview.

The Campus Honors Program is an innovative community of 500 Chancellor’s Scholars representing every UIUC college.  The program offers intensive variants of general education courses; interdisciplinary seminars for juniors and seniors; a faculty mentoring program, intercultural study tours; a broad range of co-curricular events; the facilities of the Honors House; and a lively Honors Student Council.
