Residency Requirements
University Residency Requirement
Effective Fall 2006, students must complete sixty credit hours at UIUC to meet residency requirements. At least 21 of those course hours must be at the 300-level and 400-level.
College Residency Requirement
Effective Fall 2006 a requirement of the College of Business Bachelor's degree is official enrollment in the College of Business for at least two consecutive semesters, excluding summer.
Departmental Residency Requirement
Departments require that a substantial part of course work for the major be done on campus. If there are extenuating circumstances, prior approval may be sought to transfer at most 2 major courses from another college or university. Please contact a records officer for additional information Exception: major courses may not transfer into the accountancy curriculum from another college or university.
Guided Individual Study (Correspondence Courses)
UIUC correspondence courses are university credit offered through the Office of Continuing Education. (http://www.continuinged.uiuc.edu/oce-sites/outreach/gis.cfm) These courses do not interrupt residency.
