Phi Gamma Nu Professional Business Fraternity
2. What is the "mission statement" or purpose of your organization?
To serve as medium through which students with common professional interests can develop lasting relationships among themselves as well as practicing professionals.
3. Roughly how many members belong to your organization?
Currently 115 members plus a new pledge class of around 20 members this semester
4. What is the demographic makeup of your organization?
a. Business to non-business students?
75% Business Majors, 25% Non-Business Majors
b. Business student majors?
Accounting & Finance 21%, Finance 20%, Accounting 16%, Business Undecided 9%, Marketing 7%, MIS 3%

18% Seniors, 36% Juniors, 40% Sophomores, 6% Freshman
5. When was your organization established at the University of Illinois?
1974
6. Please describe some of the major events/initiatives of your organization.
Professional events such as Career Fair Panel, resume critiques, mock interview, presentations from corporate sponsors, etiquette dinners, and a variety of networking opportunities.
Philanthropic events such as Adopt-A-Highway, Habitat For Humanity, Relay 4 Life, adopting a boy in Zambia, and various other local community service projects.
Social events such as a Cubs Game, Blackhawks Game, Annual Ski-Trip, Barndances, Semi-formals and Formals, and many others.
7. Please describe the type of student you are interested in attracting.
Phi Gamma Nu seeks students who are proactively looking for as outlet of developing themselves professionally while building lasting friendships with our members. Moreover, our active members hold themselves to a high ethical standard in all their endeavors.
