To promote the cause of higher business education and training for all individuals, to foster high ideals for everyone pursuing a career in business; to encourage fraternity and cooperation among people preparing for such careers; and to stimulate the spirit of sacrifice and unselfish devotion to the attainment of such ends.

6. Please describe some of the major events/initiatives of your organization.
This Fraternity gives you the opportunity to personally develop yourself as a "whole person" through extensive, enjoyable interaction with your peers. You will develop communication skills by working with people of varying ages and backgrounds. You will learn to sell yourself as a person during your pledge period, and you will develop "hands-on" experience in group interactions and dynamics through committee participation. Networking will give you a "competitive edge" over your peers and will help you find a job when you graduate. This is your chance to round out your academic education and gain practical and fun experience in a business setting with your peers. College is more than just books and classes.

7. Please describe the type of student you are interested in attracting.
Phi Chi Theta recruits students that are highly motivated and interested in taking on leadership opportunities. We look for individuals that are seeking to develop professional skills and build long-term relationships. In addition, we look for students that express an ambition to bring new and diverse ideas to further the development of our fraternity and its members. Our organization is seeking top talent students that are dedicated and will help in our effort to continue growing our professional network and brotherhood.
Membership Requirements:
- Maintain a GPA of 2.8 or higher
- Have at least one active semester after pledging
- Business related major or minor

10. Who are the current Executive Board members and what are their positions?
a. What roles do these positions play?
- President- The president conducts weekly chapter meetings and facilitates executive board meetings. Sonia is responsible for leading the Service Committee and maintaining a high standard of philanthropy on campus and within our chapter's community. Also, the President maintains order on motions and business conducted at all regular and board meetings. As president, Sonia collaborates with her executive board to uphold standards, practice integrity, and represent our fraternity with the utmost excellence.
- Vice President, External- The External Vice President focuses mainly on helping to improve our members' professional networks and their networking abilities. Nick acts as a point-of-contact between Phi Chi Theta and the outside professional world, which our members aspire to be a part of. He works closely with the professional committee to bring in a wide variety of speakers from different companies, and to plan events that will make our members more marketable in their job search.
- Vice President, Internal- The Internal Vice President is continually developing and strengthening the fraternity's brotherhood and bond. Chris is responsible for turning compliance into commitment by engaging the fraternity in team activities that people enjoy. This semester some of the activities planned are paintball, pledge family Olympics, semi-formal, various intramural sports, and movie nights.
Vice President, Membership- The Membership Vice President is responsible for training and developing pledges into active members of Phi Chi Theta. Rachael is in charge of conducting rush and advising the public relations committee as well as marketing and communications within the College of Business.
Treasurer- The treasurer prepares and maintains the budget, ensures compliance with University and Federal requirements, manages the fraternity's finances, collects dues, and oversees the Fundraising Committee. - Secretary- The Secretary keeps an accurate record of attendance, points, and a directory of the fraternity members. In addition, the Secretary documents everything organized at Chapters and events to send out Minutes to our members.

There is an interview process with three stages that is open to all business related majors.

a. I.e. personal account of how the organization helped a student
The Zeta Gamma chapter at the University of Illinois has been awarded the National Phi Chi Theta Scholarship for the past three years. This year Megan Myers received a national scholarship of $1000.
b. Corporate recommendation of the organization
We received donations for professional opportunities from our sponsor, Fellowes.
