Office of International Strategic Management

Director: Presently None

The Office of International Strategic Management seeks to organize and energize the research efforts of outstanding faculty who are interested in strategic and global issues and in the processes of organizational decline and renewal in the face of major strategic change. Its programs and projects focus on the challenges facing management in the 2000s from globalization, industrial and national competitiveness, the transnational corporation, and the influence of technological change.

No single theory or approach can capture the complex reality of the business world. Because valuable insights can be obtained from viewing the firm through a variety of perspectives, such as those offered by psychology and organizational behavior, economics, finance and decision science, the goal of the office is to encourage multidimensional approaches to corporate strategy research.
