CIBER program funded for four more years
The Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) has been funded for an additional four years and at a higher level of support. The US Department of Education made the announcement in early May.

With the rise of information technology, big accounting firms branched into "client services" – particularly internal financial consulting – that soon brought in more revenues than audits. Tackling a real-life problem faced by Kimberly-Clark, the global consumer-products company, was the challenge to ten teams of Industrial Distribution Management students. Giertz comments on state budget situation
Economist J. Fred Giertz says that Illinois' govenor and state legislators should agree to a temporary income-tax hike until the current budget crisis passes. 1997 Accountancy graduate develops website for displaced workers

Commerce Council members raise funds for university police

New student orientation
June marks the beginning of new student orientation. The college will welcome members of the class of 2006 throughout the summer.
