earlier this month. Meeting on a Saturday, the graduates heard about the

Two Ph.D. Business Administration students honored
Two newly established awards from the Survey Research Lab went to Business
Administration Ph.D. students. Fabio Fonti was the recipient of the Robert
Ferber Dissertation Award and Junyong Kim received the Seymour Sudman
Dissertation Award. The awards are given annually to UIUC doctoral candidates
for excellence in survey research as part of a dissertation.

Lynge part of Friday Forum on February 22
If you are in Champaign today, stop by the University YMCA to hear Finance
chair Morgan Lynge speak as part of the "Redefining Global Issues"
series of talks sponsored by the University YMCA. Friday Forum lectures
are held weekly at noon in Latzer Hall, 1001 South Wright Street, in Champaign.

to present David Kinley Lecture in Economics
Stanford economics professor Thomas J. Sargent will deliver the 2002 David
Kinley Lecture in Economics in 141 Wohlers Hall on March 7 at 4 p.m. He
will discuss why so many governments fail to put their knowledge about
sound currency to work. The lecture is open to the public.

Margolis to present annual Cozad Lecture
Chairman and CEO of The TriZetto Group, Inc., Jeff Margolis will present
the 2002 V. Dale Cozad Lecture in Entrepreneurship in 141 Wohlers Hall
at 5.p.m. on April 9. The public is invited to hear Margolis speak on
"Transforming Fundamentals into Innovation." Reservations are
