Business Teachers Ranked as Excellent, Fall 2007
Each semester the University of Illinois publishes the "List of Teachers Ranked as Excellent by Their Students," based on voluntarily submitted evaluation forms from instructors across campus. The most recent list, which was just released, features a large contingent of College of Business faculty.  (4/2008)

Director of Congressional Budget Office to Address Health Care at ILLINOIS
Peter R. Orszag, director of the Congressional Budget Office, will talk about health care and opportunities in the nation's core fiscal challenge on April 22 at the University of Illinois. Sponsored by the Center for Business and Public Policy, Orszag's visit provides an opportunity to hear directly from a top congressional advisor about research and findings developed by CBO in support of health care reform.  (4/2008)

Five pioneers will be honored for their contributions to the field of marketing during the Paul D. Converse Symposium April 17-19. The symposium is held every four years, presenting achievement awards that constitute a "Marketing Hall of Fame." Dean Mullins' Underlying 'Keys' to Academic Success
On February 6th, Associate Dean Victor Mullins hosted the first Spring Student Success Seminar entitled "The Keys to Academic Success in the College of Business". The seminar was open to all students in the College of Business and focused mainly on how to overcome the everyday struggles that business students face. Investment Banking: Bravery Facing the Bear
There's been a lot of talk about the bear market. In order to help understand its complexities and our fears in dealing with it, the College of Business hosted a Finance Roundtable on April 9th. The session, sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers, featured a panel of experts, all of whom are alumni.  (5/2008)

1st Annual MSF Investment Challenge Winners Announced
57 MSF students managed portfolios of US and international equities for a period of approximately six months. The competition was organized by the University of Illinois Securities Exchange Simulation (UISES).  (5/2008)
