Building Access
While we understand that everyone is eager to visit the new building we will need to wait until Monday, August 25, 2008 at 7 am. Come Monday, please roam the halls and admire this magnificent facility.
BIF Map & Guide
Please feel free to download our building map and guide (PDF file), which highlights all classrooms and provides answers to common questions.
Opening Day
Beginning at 7 am Monday and continuing through Wednesday, College staff will be posted at BIF's entrances to greet students, offer maps, directions, and mementos - they will be wearing bright green shirts and buttons (green building. green attire.). BIF also has an Information Center located inside the Sixth Street entrance. The BIF Information Center phone is 244-7900.
Classroom Technology Training
OIM will conduct several training sessions on the use of the classroom technology before classes begin. This will require proper coordination. Given the status of the building we would like to restrict these sessions only to faculty scheduled to teach during the first week of classes. Please contact OIM at 244-0812 if you have any questions.
Highlights:
- All classrooms will be operational on Monday.
- All classrooms will have one operational projector and screen, podium with computer and laptop/tablet connection, and internet and USB access. Flat classrooms will have mounted whiteboards and tiered classrooms will have one portable whiteboard.
- DVD must be played through the podium computer. VHS is not provided: contact OIM to convert VHS to DVD. Overhead projectors are available by request through OIM.
OIM Technology Hotline
If you experience any technical or equipment failures in BIF, contact the Office for Information Management (OIM) Hotline at 244-0812 from 8am-5pm; 244-0215 or 244-3641 from 5pm-10pm, Mon-Thu. No classroom help over the weekend.
BIF has dedicated OIM personnel on site to respond to any problem. Alternatively, you can seek help from the BIF Information Center or from one of the green shirted volunteers located at BIF's main entrances.
Faculty & Administrative Offices
Most faculty and administrative offices will move from their current locations in David Kinely and Wohlers Halls to BIF by the end of September. Please consult the BIF map and guide (PDF file) for additional information regarding the current location of student service offices.
