student with video camera

This year the video essay must address some aspect of the current financial crisis. For example:

  • "While the adults and the leaders of the free world are mortgaging your economic future, what will you do so that you can protect your financial future personally and individually?"
  • "What you should know about personal debt before you get into any"
  • "What you should know about a mortgage before you get one"
  • "Who is Fannie Mae and why is she in so much trouble?"
  • "Why the US Government should bail out the auto industry"
  • "Why the US Government should not bail out the auto industry"

These topics might be of interest to language and social science classes as well as business, investments, and economics classes. For example, a Spanish class could do "What you should know about a mortgage before you get one" Spanish Speakers".
