Biographical Sketch

Professor of Business Administration Joseph T. Mahoney earned both M.S. and PhD degrees from the Wharton School of Business and he holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Joe joined the UI faculty in January 1988. He is an active scholar having been cited over 2,000 times in research journals.  Joe has often been named to the UI Incomplete List of Excellent Teachers and he has won the Executive MBA Teacher of the Year Award five times.  He serves on the editorial board of Journal of Management Studies, as Associate Editor at Strategic Management Journal, and as Associate Executive Editor of International Journal of Strategic Change Management.
