Susan Krische
Associate Professor of Accountancy
Susan Krische is an Associate Professor with the Department of Accountancy at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). For the 2008-09 academic year, she served as an Academic Fellow with the Office of the Chief Accountant at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Professor Krische's research in judgment and decision-making uses both experimental and archival-empirical methods to investigate the use of financial accounting information by investors and analysts. Her work has been accepted for publication in The Accounting Review, the Journal of Accounting Research and the Journal of Finance. In recognition of her scholarship, she has received UIUC’s Raymond A. Hoffman Faculty Excellence Award in 2005 and 2003, the American Accounting Association Competitive Manuscript Award in 2002, and the Deloitte & Touche Foundation Doctoral Fellowship in 1999-2000. Prior to earning her doctorate from Cornell University, she taught at the University of Waterloo (Ontario, Canada) and worked in public accounting with Ernst & Young (formerly Clarkson Gordon).
