Biographical Sketch

Paul Lansing holds a J. D. degree from the University of Illinois law school and a graduate degree in international legal studies from Stockholm University, Sweden. He teaches courses in business law and ethical dilemmas in business. His research focuses on the interaction of law, ethics, and culture as it applies to management decision-making

Among his awards for scholarship and teaching are a Fulbright Chair Award to Portugal in 2000; M.B.A. Professor of the Year Award for 1993-94 for elective courses; Distinguished Paper Award from the Midwest Business Administration Association, 1988; and a Fulbright Senior Lecture Award to Japan, 1985-86. He has also taught at the University of South Africa and Stockholm University.

Professor Lansing has served as a consultant to Quality Educational Development, Inc. He serves as arbitrator for the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service and the New York Stock Exchange and as arbitrator and mediator for the Iowa Public Employment Relations Board and the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board. He is active as a reviewer for various journals in the area of law, ethics, and business.
