Sign-up for Employer Mock Interviews / Resume Critiques on Symplicity beginning on January 17th. This is first-come, first-served.
Step 1: Login to Symplicity
Step 2: Go to the College of Business Jobs
Step 3: Select "Position Type" as Mock Interview or Resume Critique
Step 4: Choose the company of interest, sign-up for one slot only
Rules for Mock Interviews & Critiques
- You may only sign-up for one employer mock interview and resume critique per semester. If you sign-up for multiple mock interviews or resume critiques, all your scheduled mock interviews and resume critiques will be canceled.
- All BCS interview rules are in effect including the no show policy. If you do not attend your mock interview, you will lose access to Symplicity for 2 semesters. It is your responsibility to schedule an interview that does not conflict with other activities.
- Hearing feedback from recruiters is always beneficial. If a particular company you are interested is full, schedule with another company to hear ways you can improve
Profile & Resume on Symplicity
Profile Update
To submit your resume and schedule interviews, your profile needs to be up-to-date and accurate. Below is a list of required fields that need to be updated:
- Personal Information: Phone Number, Address
- Academic Information: Year in School, Graduation Date, & GPA's
Resume Upload
Update your resume including a revised GPA, any new experiences you completed in the first semester, etc. To update your resume, make the changes in Word, then upload a new copy. Delete old copies.
Spring Dates to Note
First Deadline (OCR) | Jan. 19
Over 20 deadlines to submit your resume to employers for on-campus interviews occur in the first week of classes. These includes Bank of America, JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, General Mills, Aon, and more!
Interviews begin on February 5.
Kickoff Week | Jan. 22-26
Kickoff week is designed to prepare you for a successful on-campus recruiting season. During Kickoff Week, you can engage in workshops, resume critiques, and career fair preparation strategies. Walk-in resume critiques will take place Monday through Friday, from 9 am - 12 pm, 1 pm - 4 pm and on Wedensday from 4 pm - 7 pm in 215A DKH . Workshops listed below, all locations and times will be listed on Symplicity on January 16.

Wednesday - Career Fair Success by PricewaterhouseCoopers
Thursday - How to Find an Internship by KPMG
Friday - Research Companies for the Career Fair

Utilize Symplicity to RSVP to companies attending the Career Fair. Go to Events>Career Fair and follow the on-screen instructions. Over 140 companies will participate!
Diversity on LaSalle Street Deadline for Job Shadow Extended
Sophomore and junior students of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to participate in these Job Shadow opportunities in Chicago. See Symplicity for the deadlines per these programs. Diversity on Lasalle Street deadline is January 15.
