Process Management centers around operations and how to manage resources productively to create value. Management Science focuses on understanding and improving decision-making. Management Science helps the students become better decision makers. Process Management helps the students become more productive in their work and life. The common ground is an emphasis on fact-based management.
Research
The faculty in this area is conducting creative research on important issues such as Supply Chain Management, Technology Management, Product Design and Development, Auctioning Theory, Decision Economics, and Network Optimization.
Teaching
We have designed a set of general courses for business students to learn decision-making and process analysis fundamentals. We also offer more advanced courses in Operations Management, Process Integration, Project Management, Logistics, Decision Support, and Knowledge Management for executives and for students who will become future leaders and top managers. Students majoring in this area typically find positions as strategy/operations consultants, supply chain managers, manufacturing/service operations managers, and in other mission-critical functions of an organization.
