Admissions Information

Admission Requirements

Candidates are required to have a business background and the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. They must have earned a minimum grade average of "B," or the equivalent, in the last two years of undergraduate study. In addition, applicants must have completed two Principles of Accounting courses and one course in each of the following areas: statistics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, finance, marketing, and organizational behavior.

The GMAT is not required although strongly recommended.

All applicants are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Because admission to the MSA program is very competitive, the recommended minimum score is 600 on the paper-based TOEFL (PBT), 250 on the computer-based TOEFL (CBT), or 100 on the Internet Based Test (IBT). Students with scores greater than the campus minimum of 550 PBT, 213 CBT or 79 IBT may still apply. Admitted students with scores less than 613 PBT, 257 CBT, or 103 IBT will be required to take an English Placement Test when they arrive on campus. Applicants who have received a bachelor’s or higher degree from a U.S. university within the last five years can apply for a TOEFL waiver. Waiver requests are subject to review by the Admissions Committee.

Admission Decision

Admission to the MSA program is competitive. Decisions are based on the individual's composite file, including previous academic accomplishments, test scores, demonstrated potential for graduate and professional success, and references. Work experience is not required for admission but may be beneficial to the student in the classroom. Applicants are notified in writing and through e-mail as soon as the admission decision is made.

Applicants who receive an offer of admission will be asked to return an acceptance form along with a non-refundable $750.00 deposit to reserve their space in the program. Instructions on payment methods and deadlines will be enclosed with the official admission letter. The deposit will be credited to the student’s account during the fall semester.
